Abstract

|
Hydrogen is expected as a clean energy source for the future to be used in automobile, home heating, etc. It is certain that hydrogen itself do not produce any harmful pollusive materials, however, for the production of hydrogen we need natural gas or petroleum gas. These fossil fuel should be dissociated into hydrogen and carbon monooxide or carbon dioxide at high temperature. As a consequence, production of carbon dioxide is unavoidable and this makes hydrogen economy as a fraud. Without developing environment friendly new energy source, hydrogen economy could not be realized. In this papaer, new alternative energy sources are reviewed.
